Experimental Investigation of the Exhaust Device of Turbocharger for Marine Engines

In order to reduce the temperature in marine engine cabin, improve working environment of staff and meet economy emission requirements, cooling system was experimentally investigated present study. this regard, water air-cooling schemes were studied main indicators including torque, smoke-emission, exhaust analyzed. The obtained results indicate that highest torque can be from turbine case pipe. As applied decreases, outlet smoke first decreases then increases finally. Moreover, it is found water-cooling pipe increase smoke. When turbocharger equipped with a pipe, higher oil tank temperature, greater reduction temperature. direct proportion fuel consumption. speed inversely proportional consumption rate. smaller cases devices at 110% loading speed, after intercooler than device. After intercooler, pressure as increases, higher-pressure ratio exhaust, circulating water, cabin. It concluded device parts by up 2℃, thereby improving cabin staff, economic performance, index.
